Jenn Starnes brings over 30 years of experience in communications, with a strong passion for public service and government work. She currently serves the Town of Danville as the Communications & Economic Development Manager.
Originally from the Central Valley, she spent more than two decades in Orange County before relocating to the Bay Area in 2022. Prior to joining Danville, she held a division manager role with the City of Irvine, where she managed arts and engagement programs for the recreation department, including facility reservations, marketing, contract class programs, recreation software systems, and a municipal arts program spanning three facilities.
She is recognized for her ability to lead diverse teams, and her collaborative leadership style is grounded in active listening and strategic support. Jenn is an award-winning member of several professional associations, including the California Public Information Officers Association, California Parks & Recreation Society, National Recreation & Parks Association, California Association for Local Economic Development, and City/County Communications and Marketing Association. She lives in Vallejo with her husband and three dogs.
