Thirty-Three Years.
One Mission.

Leadership San Ramon Valley is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We've been building the leaders this community needs since 1992 — one cohort at a time.

Our Mission

To Develop Leaders Who Will Strengthen the San Ramon Valley Community.

We believe that an informed, connected, and engaged citizenry is the foundation of a strong community. The program exists to give people the knowledge, relationships, and confidence to step into meaningful roles in this valley.

Our History

Thirty-Three Years Without a Gap.

Leadership San Ramon Valley was founded in 1992 by a group of community members who believed that the valley's growth — economic, civic, and social — required a deeper bench of informed, connected leaders.

The program ran its first cohort in 1992 and has run every year since — except 2021, when the pandemic made in-person programming impossible. Every other year, without pause.

LSRV is not affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce. It is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors — many of whom are program alumni.

The model has remained consistent: nine full days, one per month, inside the real institutions of the valley. The curriculum evolves. The access deepens. The network compounds.

Today, 831+ graduates are woven into every sector of the San Ramon Valley — city and county government, schools, healthcare, nonprofits, and business. All five Danville Town Councilmembers are LSRV alumni. The program's fingerprints are everywhere.

"The class you graduate with will be your network here for the rest of your life."

Said by alumni. Consistently. Years later.
